Happy 97th Birthday, American Legion! On March 15, 1919, the first Legion caucus held by members of the American Expeditionary Force convened in
Paris, France. Easter, March 27, the most important Christian holiday of the year, celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. The
week proceeding Easter is called Holy Week and includes Maundy Thursday which commemorates Jesus’ last supper with his disciples, Good Friday
which honors the day of his crucifixion and Holy Saturday which focuses on the transition between the crucifixion and resurrection. The 50 day period
following Easter Sunday is called Eastertide and includes a celebration of Jesus’ ascension to Heaven. Happy Easter and Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Did you know, over 90 million chocolate Easter bunnies are made each year? Each Legionnaire should be alert to the physical and spiritual needs
of his/her comrades. As Chaplain, I seek to minister to people wherever there is a need. Please notify me when there is a death, illness or
special concern in the membership. God is the source of all rights and privileges. Thank you for your service. Chaplain Dale, 608-395-5942
PS: God is closely watching your life. Keep doing the best with what you have. Don’t underestimate what you have.
